There are a lot of friends and strangers who are perplexed when my head is not in the clouds, and i am intensely looking on the ground, in a stream bed, old farm road or old quarry. I then have to admit that i am a rock hound. As they roll their eyes and shake their head. I search for arrowheads, stone tools, fossils, meteorites, and my favorite gemstones.
This is what I discovered today, with a little help from my grandsons. I love the green and red garnet dragon form in the quartz matrix.
